Empowering THE YOUTH

Every family stands for something and this Ithemba family stands for uplifting people, places and untapped potential.

Our ideals and vision have been the cornerstone for the Ithemba Upliftment Foundation and our biggest driving force towards supporting our communities. The results of the Foundation’s work translate into better communities and in turn a more sustainable environment for our tenants.

Our NPO provides charitable support to those seeking bursaries as well as to those requiring social support services for children. Although Ithemba Property will be the main financial source for supporting the Ithemba Upliftment Foundation, other resources will be used where possible in order for us to reach our goals as we uplift the community around us.

The foundation provides the following services to its youth and beneficiaries:

  • Upgraded infrastructure such as bathrooms and kitchens as well as the children’s cots and play area at Miracle Eden Baby Care Centre
  • Primary School Bursaries for children leaving Miracle Eden Baby Care Centre
  • Rental subsidies to tenants affected by the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic
  • Food parcels for the homeless and tenants as well as support to local businesses impacted by COVID-19
  • Life coaching within the community
  • Skills development through computer centres
  • Entrepreneurial development programmes

VISION AND FOCUS

At Ithemba Upliftment Foundation we believe that we can learn a lot from the structure of a family. Families come together to help each other and through this continuous engagement, each member benefits. We believe that this is the best way to work in charitable situations. When we all stand together, we all win.

Sustainability is the ultimate goal of upliftment and by using the framework and dynamics of a family, this is possible. Through this critical engagement, we intend to uplift the community in and around our properties for the foreseeable future.
